VEDIC ASTROLOGER
Why Does Astrology Work?
How can the orientation of distant planets and stars affect our lives? The solar system is actually a reflection of our inner reality, not the other way around. As Sri Yukteswar states in Autobiography of a Yogi, “A child is born on that day and at that hour when the celestial rays are in mathematical harmony with his individual karma."
The stars do not create our karma, they merely reflect it and act as catalyzing agents for what we ourselves have already set in motion. By understanding these influences, and how to intelligently work with them, astrology can help deliver into our hands the tools to work constructively with our own nature and individual karma.
Though all of us carry the burden of past misdeeds, we also have the potential of spiritual greatness. Astrology can point the way from bondage and suffering towards greater inner freedom and mastery over our own selves.
ART & SCIENCE of ASTROLOGY
The solar system is a reflection of our inner reality.
Vedic vs Western Astrology
Vedic astrology, or Jyotish as it is known in India (meaning, "the study of light") examines not just the outwardly directed personality, but our inner reality. Western astrology, like Western culture, focuses more on the outer personality, the way you project yourself in life.

What to Expect from a Reading
In your reading we will take a look at the unique orientation of the planets and stars at the moment of your birth. The horoscope is a reflection of the karma of every individual soul.
My Story
I grew up in a family of yogis in the spiritual community, Ananda. Immersed in the spiritual wisdom of Yogananda since birth, I became fascinated with astrology before I became a teenager. It was my great good fortune to find my mentor at a very young age, Drupada Macdonald, a long-time astrologer who encouraged me and pointed me towards valuable resources even then.
Astrology to me is much more than a predictive tool to tell you when you may be married or what rituals to perform to acquire a satisfying job. Astrology is a glimpse into our own inner chakras; our inner life. By clearer understanding of ourselves, right attitudes, scientific yogic techniques, mantras, gemstones, prayer, and the grace of God, we can uplift and transmute our planetary karma towards our own highest potential.
Astrology can help you learn to cooperate with your karma and your soul-nature, to bring out the very best in you. My hope is to use astrology as a window for you to learn tools for transmuting challenging situations both inwardly and outwardly, and to glimpse your own true potential.
